1:1 Interview Coaching
Get your career on track
The interview is the last hurdle before getting the job you’ve always wanted so it’s important to leave nothing to chance. The key to perform successfully in the interviews is preparation, feedback and practice. Having helped a number of trainees prepare for the interviews I can help you overcome those nerves and think about how you are going to sell yourself in the best possible way when it counts. Whether it is fine tuning, a complete start or just needing a mock interview, I can help you improve your performance.

Umar is an excellent interview coach! He has a lovely approach and really tailors his feedback to the individual in front of him. I found this course on Google and honestly thought the comments sounded too good to be true. After attending his GRID interview preparation course I can truly say the comments were not exaggerating. I feel a lot more confident in my answers and feel like I have been given a strong foundation on which to build.

Umar’s style of coaching brings out the confident side of the candidates which I believe is essential to be successful in the interview. He really empowers the candidates to feel they will be successful. His enthusiasm for wanting you to succeed really spurs you on to practice and improve your answers in the run up to the interview and then to conduct yourself the very best way that you can during the actual interview. Umar always has suggestions for ways you can improve the delivery of your answers. His supportive manner is so welcomed during such a stressful period. Many many thanks Umar.

I like to refer to my coaching experience from Umar Mahmood as an “Umar sandwich”…. My interview practice started off by attending the Paediatric Grid Interview Preparation Course which Umar delivers and my final preparation was a one to one coaching session with Umar. With his help I was able to achieve a high score in my subspeciality interview, ranked high and was offered my first choice job. I will be recommending Umar’s course and his coaching to everyone who is applying for paediatric subspeciality training.
